Part-Time Training
Most often, it is very difficult for young mothers and fathers to finish their studies with success. Part-time training might be a solution for those who want to take care of their own education and improve their prospects while at the same time having to bring up their children. In a nutshell: Part-time training is meant to juggle domestic work and professional training. Reducing weekly working hours and increasing the whole training period will see to it that you still will be able to accomplish your task. The Vocational training may not necessarily last longer.
In 2005 the Chamber of Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lübeck started ‘STARegio’, a model project for prospective part-time trainees. Because of this project’s huge success, the Ministry of Economics, Labor, Science and Traffic in Schleswig-Holstein has taken up financing part-time training advisory services in Lübeck, Flensburg, Kiel and Pinneberg with further financial support by the European Social Fond.
